A detailed morphological description, including morphometric characterization, is provided in Pecina & Vďačný (2020). The original description is to be published in Journal of Eukaryotic Microbiology. To avoid nomenclatural problems, the name Clevelandella lynni is disclaimed here for nomenclatural purposes (Article 8.3 of the ICZN 1999).
