This writing is a tribute to all the Venezuelan scientists who have left us in the prime of their lives. Dr. Domingo Maldonado Sánchez has had to leave, leaving behind a large work as academic and scientist. This short note represents just a sample of one who was a dedicated professor, outstanding researcher, and excellent friend.
