Hernenevtic reconstruction of the Hero's Portrait in Gospel Parables

Description

Biblical hermeneutics is based on the inspiration and Christ-centeredness of Scripture. Both of these provisions are derived from the most important way of interpreting sacred texts – thehermeneutic circle. In the Gospels the hermeneutic circle can be used to understand the status of Publicans, Pharisees, Samaritans, High Priests, Prostitutes, and many others. The hermeneutic operation of the reconstruction of the spiritual account of the character is a logical consequence of the use of the hermeneutic circle in order to interpret biblical works. Reconstruction becomes possible due to the generalization of typical situations. On the other hand, the whole obtained on the basis of the reader’s imagination allows to unfold the interpretive vector and to analyze its parts more carefully. Constructed whole always contributes to a more accurate, detailed, deeper understanding of the essence of each phenomenon – acomponent of hermeneutic generalization.Such observations were made on the basis of several Gospel episodes about the Publicans, as well as the Parable of the Pharisee and the Publican and the Parable of the Two Sons and the Father’s Will.
