Tech note: bioremediation, enemy of cadmium

At present there is a great concern for the contamination of agricultural soils due to the presence of heavy metals directly involved with damage to plants and humans. In order to determine the technologies developed worldwide aimed at the remediation of contaminated soil with cadmium. Specifically to the processes oriented in bioremediation, an information survey was developed consulting databases of patents and scientific publications. This research describes two technologies based on the use of plants and fungi respectively, which are of potential application to a cocoa producing region, located in Miranda State, Venezuela.
