According to the Brundtland Report, sustainable development is the one that ensures the needs of the present are fulfilled. The aim of the paper “Violence against women is a barrier to Sustainable Development” is to analyze how violence against women is a barrier for achieving sustainable development goals concerning Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5- Gender equity.
