Corderoita, kenhsuita y perroudita, sulfohalogenuros de mercurio de Chóvar (Castellón)
Description
The "Oriental" mine is located in the Hembrar ravine, Chóvar (Alicante), and was exploited to obtain mercury minerals at different times in the 19th and 20th centuries, until 1971. In addition to cinnabar, rare mercury minerals appear, among they corderoite and kenhsuite. The kenhsuite specimens from this town are considered the largest and finest in the world.
