The elaboration of the study entitled The requirements of the European Union for Romania on sustainable development and its implications for the Siret-Prut-Dniester Euroregion, presupposed the successive completion of the stages imposed in the realization of the scientific research works:

- documentation and theoretical clarification from the specialized literature, on the concept of requirements (set of values) of general order of the U.E.
- collecting and systematizing information on the achievement of these strategic objectives, which must be finalized through the agreement and participation of national, departmental, regional and Euroregional authorities
- elaboration of descriptive analyzes regarding the efficient functioning of the activities in the area of the Siret-Prut-Dniester Euroregion

The research topic is particularly current and timely as the Siret-Prut-Dniester Euroregion has only been operating under permissive legislative conditions for the last 13 years, and its development and expansion can be considered one of the most significant economic innovations in the European economy, the last two decades.
