Description
There is a great interest in the development of several oxazepine derivatives in both pharmacy and organic chemistry fields such as antidepressant (amoxapine) and schizophrenia (loxapine). In search of new oxazepine analogs some methods use several reagents; however, some of these reagents are expensive and require special conditions for their handling. Therefore, the aim of this study was synthesizing some oxazepine-steroid using three component system (steroid, acetonitrile derivatives and 5-hexyn-1-ol). The chemical structure a purity of compounds was confirmed by melting point, infrared spectra, NMR spectroscopic data and mass spectrometry. The results shown the following; 1) the reagents used for the preparation of oxazepine derivatives does not require special conditions and are facile of handling; 2) the yielding of oxazepine derivatives are relatively good. All these data indicate that production of oxazepine derivatives could be carried out on a larger scale.
