Description

The software computes seismic ground motion displacement/velocity/acceleration RMS vs Time.

It allows studying daily, weekly and/or seasonal changes of the groud motion.

The software was specially designed to be easy and fast to use. Its primary objective was to allow anyone to play with the seismic noise data and observe the reduction of anthropogenic noise due to lockdown measures worldwide.

The jupyter notebook allows :

  1. defining parameters
  2. fetching seismic data using FDSN webservices
  3. processing the data using ObsPy
  4. analysing the results by extracting the RMS of the ground motion
  5. and plotting with matplotlib
