Description
Metapion gaudiale (Faust, 1885)
Distribution in Iran. East Azarbaijan, Razavi Khorasan, Semnan, Tehran (Legalov et al. 2010), Razavi Khorasan (Zare Khormizi et al. 2016), West Azarbaijan (Borumand 1998; Modarres Awal 2012, both as Apion (Thymapion) subfarinosum Desbrochers des Loges, 1897).
General distribution. Afghanistan, “Caucasus”, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.
Plant associations in Iran. Fraxinus excelsior L. (Oleaceae) (Zare Khormizi et al. 2016), surely an occasional.
