Cidaris rugosa (H.L. Clark, 1907)

Cidaris rugosa was identified based on the spine shape, including the spine tip morphology as outlined in Phelan (1970). Occurrence of this species was based on Phelan (1970) and enhanced by USNM collection records and new occurrence from Pawson and Pawson (2013).

Occurrence: Georgia, Louisiana, Gulf of Mexico, Bahamas, Belize, Cuba, Dominica, Puerto Rico, St. Martin, St. Lucia, Guadeloupe, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Venezuela, Mexico 130–788 m
