Description
Larinus (Larinomesius) vitellinus Gyllenhal, 1835
Records. KHE [Talamelli 2014: 167].
Distribution. Near East, Asia Minor, Iran, Armenia.
Material examined. Literature data only.
Biology. Unknown.
Note. Occurrence in Ukraine is to be confirmed. The reliable north limit of that species is Southern Turkey to Armenia (over 1000 km to the south of Chongar). All previous records are known from the mountains (Gültekin & Podlussány 2012; Ter-Minasian 1962), meanwhile Chongar lies in lowland in Pontic Steppes ecoregion. Occurrence of L. vitellinus in Crimean Mountains is not yet confirmed, although that peninsula has only credible habitats and was well surveyed.
