Description

1962: 513 (redescription); Newton, 1998: 170 (MNHN paratypes seen); Salgado, 2006: 100 (holotype seen), 2015b: 6.

? Holotype male [Note: We interpreted that the male Jeannel illustrated in figures is the holotype; he mentions 4 specimens, sex not given] in MNNC [n° 1321 (SBP, personal data)].

Type locality: Pemehue, 38º00’ S, Biobío Province, Chile.

Distribution: Argentina: Río Negro (rugosa) Province; Chile: Aisén (AFN, personal data), Biobío, Cautín, Chiloé, Concepción, Llanquihue, Malleco, Maule (AFN, personal data), Ñuble, Palena (AFN, personal data), Osorno, and Valdivia (AFN, personal data) Provinces.

= Topalella rugosa Hlisnikovský, 1964b: 314; Newton, 1998: 79, 170 syn. (holotype seen). Holotype male in HNHM. Type locality: El Bolsón, Río Negro Province, Argentina.
