Description
Genus Nemadiopsis Jeannel
Nemadiopsis Jeannel, 1936: 159. Type species: Choleva fastidiosa Fairmaire & Germain (orig. des.).
Note: Revised in Salgado, 2002b (it is not clear if types were examined).
Key: to subgenera and species in Salgado, 2002b: 506 [but see under subgenus Nemadiopsis].
Distribution: Southern Chile, southwestern Argentina; not Ecuador.
Biology: Carrion scavenger in forests.
Note: Nemadiopsis carbonarius Szymczakowski (1961) from Ecuador was removed to the genus Dissochaetus by Salgado (2002a), so Ecuador is no longer included in the generic distribution.
