Beam Solver: Solving for empirical primary beam using drift-scan radio interferometric observations

Description

This python package provides the require tools to solve for the primary beam or instrument response of a drift-scan radio interferometer using observations. Due to Earth rotation, we can track sources as they pass overhead the instrument. We use these track measurements to form a system of linear equations and assumptions on the beam symmetries that allow us to solve for both the intrinsic source flux densities and primary beam. Currently the software is adapted to the Hydrogen Epoch of Reionization Array (HERA), a radio array focused at probing large scale structures before and during the epoch of reionization.
