This is the editorial of a special issue on pathogen adhesion. The editorial was published in "Medical Microbiology and Immunity".
This editorial gives a brief introduction into a EU funding scheme called "Innovative Training Networks" which is part of Horizon 2020.
It introduces one of these Innovative Training Networks named ViBrANT (Viral and Bacterial Adhesin Network Training). The special issue then contains Reviews and Opinion articles on Adhesion, the reserach focus of ViBrANT.
