Description

Key to Chinese species of Endasys Förster

Note: this key does not include E. morulus (Kokujev, 1909) as its female is unknown.

1. Fore and mid tibiae yellowish brown, without white band. Hind tibia darkish red brown, apical portion brownish black. Speculum with punctures.................................................................................... 2

-. Tibiae black, or fore tibiae slightly brown, or outer sides of fore and mid tibiae with distinct white bands. Speculum smooth, shiny, with punctures or wrinkles......................................................................... 5

2. Antenna with white ring; flagellomeres 1–3 (4) black or brownish black. Hind coxa and first tergite black............... 4

-. Antenna without white ring; basal half of flagellum buff. Hind coxa light or blackish brown. First tergite red brown (except E. sheni Sheng yellow brown or black)....................................................................... 3

3. Area superomedia 0.7 × as long as wide, anterior side distinctly shorter than posterior side. Hind coxa and femur brownish black, tibia and tarsus darkish brown. First tergite, at least basal portion, black.......................... E. sheni Sheng
