Figure 3. Outcrop of limestones on volcanic flows. Flow is overlain by breccia with limestone matrix (2), which is overlain by a limestone that pinches out to the right (4) and is overlain by a second breccia-limestone sequence (5). Fissures in the upper part of the flow are filled with limestone in the foreground (1) and at the left end of the outcrop (3). The limestone at the left end of the outcrop is in a low spot between ends of flows. Maximum thickness of the breccia-limestone sequence at (4) is 1.7 m.
