Description

107.1- and 93.9-Gbps net-rate (gross-rate 133.9- and 101.3-Gbps) OFDM transmission on a 408-GHz carrier frequency is experimentally demonstrated over a joint fiber-wireless link, 51-km single-mode fiber and 10.7-m free-space, with bit-errorrates below the 20% soft- and 7% hard-decision FEC thresholds of 2.7×10 -2 and 3.8×10 -3 , respectively.
