First Order Ambisonics field recordings for use in virtual acoustic environments in the context of audiology
Description
These sound files were recorded using a Core Sound TetraMic microphone and an Edirol R4 portable recording device. The files were converted to B-format in FurseMalham normalization and channel order, using the software tetrafile from Fons Adriaenssen [3].
Files:
birds_oldenburg.wav:
Birds, recorded on an early Sunday morning in spring in a backyard in the city of Oldenburg, Germany. The recording is high-pass filtered to remove remote traffic noise.
mensa.wav:
Babble noise, recorded during lunch time in the cafeteria of the science campus of University of Oldenburg, Germany. The file was edited to remove intelligible conversations.
remote_traffic.wav:
Remote traffic sounds, recorded on a weekday in a backyard in the city of Oldenburg, Germany.
traffic.wav:
Dense traffic sounds, recorded close to traffic lights at a busy street crossing in Oldenburg, Germany.
*.license:
License abbreviation and author information, for use in the acoustic simulation tool TASCAR [1].
