Description

The genome of the Halobacterium salinarum type strain (strain 91-R6) was compared to that of the laboratory strains R1 and NRC-1. Protein-coding genes were extensively correlated, mainly between strains 91-R6 and R1.

Table S1 lists correlated proteins encoded on the chromosomes.

Table S2 lists correlated proteins which are encoded on plasmids in at least one of the strains.

Table S3 lists strain-specific proteins encoded on the chromosome of strain 91-R6.

Table S4 lists strain-specific proteins encoded on the chromosome of strain R1.

Table S5 lists strain-specific proteins encoded on plasmids of strain 91-R6.

Table S6 lists strain-specific proteins encoded on plasmids of strain R1.

Table S7 lists strain-specific proteins from strain NRC-1.
