ASTRON Open Source Policy

Most ASTRON Software Products are released under an open source license, such that they can be used, modified, and redistributed by external parties. In return, ASTRON wants to get some form of acknowledgement or credit for the delivered effort, whenever external parties use an ASTRON Software Product to success. This is important for the visibility of ASTRON in the world, but also as a justification towards NWO-I.

The ASTRON Open Source Policy implements the above two objectives of acknowledgement and justification by providing several procedures. The Policy also sets the boundaries within which ASTRON Software Products shall be released.
