The reason of discussing the topic of internationalization derives from the necessity of integrating the Universities of the Republic of Moldova into the unique European area of knowledge and research, the need to facilitate the cooperation and international mobility activities of teachers and students. The research focuses on the intention to highlight the need for a strategic approach to the processes of internationalization of education and research in the HEI of the Republic of Moldova, the analysis of the needs, the challenges, but also the finding of the appropriate solutions within the framework of the "ELEVATE - Elevating the Internationalisation of Higher Education in Moldova, Reference number: 573921-EPP-1-2016-1-MD-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP project co-funded by the Erasmus + Program of the European Union.
