Сучасні напрямки досліджень проблематики трудової міграції

Labor migration, its nature, factors and mechanisms of regulation have long been one of the central problems of economic theory. Modern labor migration processes are closely linked to socio-political instability, wars, low household incomes and poor quality of social security on the one hand (which forms the supply of human resources from donor countries) and globalization, borders opening and liberalization, migration high pay and social services, security and well-being of recipient countries. In this regard, it is of scientific and applied interest to summarize the existing areas of study of labor migration, which will allow from the theoretical and economic point of view to predict the course of development of the doctrine of migration policy for the coming years.

The article summarizes the current trends in the study of labor migration. It is established that the problem of labor migration is one of the central topics of research of both Ukrainian and foreign scientists, which is explained by the increasing globalization tendencies, increasing labor mobility and competition for human capital between the countries with developed economies. The main areas of research on labor migration include its impact on the welfare of donor countries and human capital recipients, the long-term effects of labor migration, in particular, transfers to donor countries and the loss of highly qualified personnel, and particularly aggravated internal migration problems in Ukraine. The issue of reintegration of labor migrants remains particularly poorly researched, especially relevant in the context of economic recovery in Ukraine, which suggests that the processes of return of skilled workers may be intensified.

A promising area of further research is the development of theoretical and methodological foundations for the reintegration of migrant workers.
