Description
FIGURE 18. Species frequency or evenness up trough the investigated interval at Stevns Klint. The number of specimens for each species is based upon Tab. 6 and 9. The X-axis shows the individual taxa lined up from the most to the least dominant. The indeterminate specimens are shown as the last bar on each of the subfigures. A. Abundance profile in the uppermost 15 cm of the Maastrichtian Højerup Member at Rødvig. Note the very even frequency of the taxa. The number of specimens is 351. B. Species frequency in the lower to middle half of foraminiferal zone Pα (12 to 42 cm above the K-Pg boundary) at Rødvig. Note the total dominance of one species (Thereitis carlsbergi n. sp.). The number of specimens is 190. C. Abundance profile in the upper half of the Pα to basal P1a foraminiferal zone (40 to 72 cm above the K-Pg boundary) at Rødvig. The number of specimens is 306. D. Abundance profile in the P1a foraminiferal zone (34 to 64 cm above the K-Pg boundary) at Holtug. Even though the number of specimens is low (27), it suggests that the evenness has increased even further.
