Institutional violence in states of exception: critical perspectives on torture and other repressive manifestations

This essay tries to address the most relevant issues in the criminological, political criminal, legal, jurisprudential and doctrinal in relation to institutional violence, particularly the crime of torture and state of emergency, from a methodological and epistemological position anchored in critical criminology. The principles of international human rights law and the aspects that justify the imposition of methods of torture when they are intended to protect certain legal rights will be analyzed.
