Description

I will develop a theory that describes how complementary affordances of representation modes affect students’ learning of representation skills and domain knowledge. I will use this theory to develop a design framework for educational technologies that intelligently blend physical and virtual representations while adapting to student needs. Partnerships with instructors will ensure the technologies are usable in real educational contexts.
