Genetically driven hyperglycemia increases risk of coronary artery disease separately from type 2 diabetes

we have provided evidence that genetically-driven hyperglycaemia raises the risk of coronary artery disease (CAD), and this increased risk seems to be separate from the risk conferred by type 2 diabetes (T2D) as a whole
