FIGURE 2. Schematic diagrams of cross sections of earthworms showing locations of spermathecal pores in intersegmental furrows. When spermathecal pores are present in a specimen, most pheretimoid earthworms in North America have spermathecal pores that are ventrally (A) or ventrolaterally (B) located. The only except is Amynthas rodericensis, whose spermathecal pores are located dorsally (C).
