Description

This contains the final source code and model configurations used in ACCESS-OM2 runs for a model description paper (Kiss et al., 2019). These specific versions* can also be obtained from GitHub via

git clone --recursive --branch GMD2019 --depth 1 https://github.com/COSIMA/access-om2.git

The source code includes the versions of the MOM 5.1 ocean model, CICE 5.1.2 sea ice model, YATM file-based atmosphere, OASIS3-MCT 2.0 coupler and the model configurations used in these experiments. Compilation and usage instructions can be found in the ACCESS-OM2 wiki. The run configurations at 1, 0.25 and 0.1 degree grid spacing are in control/1deg_jra55_iaf, control/025deg_jra55_iaf and  control/01deg_jra55_iaf, respectively.

ACCESS-OM2 builds on ACCESS-OM (Bi et al., 2013) and AusCOM (Roberts et al., 2007; Bi and Marsland, 2010).

MOM is developed by the NOAA Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory and is released under the GPL v2 open-source license.

CICE is developed by the CICE Consortium and Los Alamos National Laboratories and is released under a LANL open-source license.

YAML is developed by COSIMA and is released under the Apache v2 open-source license.

OASIS3-MCT is developed by CERFACS and CNRS and is released under the LGPL open-source license.

* Note that the code and configurations are undergoing continuous improvement. The latest versions (newer than those used in the paper) can be obtained by

git clone --recursive https://github.com/COSIMA/access-om2.git
