THE SPECIALTY ACTIVITIES OF PHYSICAL CULTURE TEACHER AT NEW UKRAINIAN SCHOOL

The purpose of the work was to determine the peculiarities of the pedagogical activity of the teacher of physical culture in the conditions of the new Ukrainian school. Considered priority issues: definition of factors, that indicate the need for changes in the system of physical education in general education; definition of the place of physical culture in the new Ukrainian school; indication of ways to increase the professional level of the teacher of physical culture. The purpose of physical education is not only the development of physical qualities, but also the versatile development, education and socialization of a person who realizes himself a citizen of Ukraine, able to live in a society and civilized interaction with nature, has a desire for self-improvement and learning throughout life, ready for a conscious life choice and self-realization, work activity and civic activity. The effectiveness of this purpose is limited by the factors, that indicate the need for changes in the system of physical education in general education: low social status of the teacher of physical culture, the lack of prestige of the profession, the reluctance of young people to work in school. Separated the place of physical culture in the new Ukrainian school and the role of the teacher of physical culture, which consists in the implementation of the basic values of physical culture in the general school culture, in creating a modern physical and psychosocial environment in school, in the implementation of pedagogy of partnership in the educational process, in the formation the main competences of a graduate of a new Ukrainian school. Accordingly the ways of raising the professional level of the teacher of physical culture and conditions of effective activity in accordance with the demands of modern life are formulated. The specialty of the teacher of physical culture is the introduction of the basic values of physical culture into the general school culture, the creation of a modern physical and psychosocial environment in school, the introduction of partnership pedagogy in the educational process, the formation of the basic competences of a graduate of a new Ukrainian school.
