Description

Assimilation of the concept and type of psychological contract with gender has been discussed in the study. Descriptive analysis and t tests were used to study the variables in order to find out the influence of Independent variable Gender on Dependent variable Psychological Contract. 80 respondents from IT companies, Bangalore were contacted and sent questionnaire. The Descriptive analysis showed that Employee Relational Contract was higher than the Employee Transactional contract and Employer Relational Contract is greater than Employer Transactional Contract. Overall Relational Contract is higher than overall Transactional contract. t test proved that there is no significant difference between Relational and Transactional Contract with respect to Gender. The analysis does not provide any empirical evidence to prove that the difference in Gender has any influence on psychological contract. Implications of the study are discussed in the paper.
