Japanese "Kaizen" concept as a practice to improve the activities of medical institutions in reforming conditions

Description
The paper defines the essence of the Kaizen philosophy and its value in modern transformational conditions. There was substantiated the expediency of the Kaizen concept in order to improve the activity of medical institutions during the medical reform. The main elements and principles of this concept are considered and their characteristics are given. The specific activity features of the health care institutions, which should be taken into account when using the Kaizen concept, are analyzed. The necessity of forming a corporate culture in conditions without interruption of the organization's activity is proved. The description of the main Kaizen-tools, which is expediently used during the activities improvement of medical institutions, is given. The main stages of Kaizen system implementation in the medical institution are presented.
