Description
This study addresses the design and implementation of a Payment for Environmental Services (PES) program focused on preserving wild pollinators, which are crucial for maintaining ecosystem functions and agricultural productivity. Wild pollinators provide essential ecosystem services that benefit numerous stakeholders, including farmers, consumers, and broader society. However, their populations are increasingly threatened by anthropogenic pressures such as habitat loss, pesticide use, agricultural intensification, and climate change. These challenges underscore the need for innovative governance mechanisms that promote pollinator conservation while balancing ecological and socio-economic objectives.
