D3.2 Building cluster/portfolio management utilizing on-site HVAC and RES energy flexibility Czech Pilot
Authors/Creators
Description
This document is structured to reflect the logical progression of WP3 activities implemented within the Czech pilot, from the definition of testing objectives and methodological frameworks to system development, onboarding, and commissioning results. Section 1 introduces the overall WP3 context, defines the scope and objectives of this deliverable, and clarifies its position within the project timeline.
Section 2 establishes the methodological basis of the Czech pilot and is primarily associated with Task T3.1 (Definition and description of pilot site testing objectives). It formalizes the pilot testing objectives and the integrated business use-case, introduces the technical readiness evaluation framework, and defines commissioning and testing procedures, including connectivity, open loop, and closed-loop testing. This section also describes the testing workflow related to the GLocalFlex marketplace, providing a consistent methodological reference for subsequent implementation and evaluation activities.
Section 3 is mainly aligned with Task T3.2 (Development of flexibility services and support tools) and describes the technical realization of the Building Cluster Management (BCM) solution. It presents the BCM architecture, optimization problem formulation, building-agent framework, 13 asset ontology configuration, prediction modules for individual asset classes, and the supporting data infrastructure, including databases and visualization tools. Together, Sections 2 and 3 define the conceptual, methodological, and development-oriented foundation of the deliverable.
Section 4 addresses the onboarding strategy and deployment aspects and corresponds primarily to Task T3.3 (Deployment, configuration and commissioning of the toolchain). It details the onboarding workflow, datapoint mapping procedures, automated configuration generation, database initialization, and EMS/BMS connectivity requirements, including supervisory signalling between the EMS/BMS and the GLocalFlex platform.
Section 5 presents the pilot site technical readiness assessment, applying the previously defined readiness framework to individual demo sites. It distinguishes between forerunning and following sites and provides a structured evaluation of their system, monitoring, and control readiness levels. Section 6, linked to Task T3.4 (Execution of pilot operability verification), reports the current commissioning status of the BCM sandbox for selected forerunning sites, summarizing achieved integration milestones and observed system behaviour.
Finally, Section 7 concludes the document by synthesizing the main outcomes of the Czech pilot activities reported in this deliverable and outlining the next steps toward extended testing and the final M48 submission
