Description

This dataset contains the results of the application of the Ecological Risk due to Flow Alteration (ERFA) tool over the Seine river catchment in France, with results for 155 flow gauging stations under future climate and reservoir management scenarios.

The tool compares the departure of future river flow indicators from a baseline period. In this instance, 4 different baselines are used for the period 2000-2020, each with a different implementation of the reservoirs in the catchment. For the future river flow, 4 climate scenarios for the period 2070-2098 are used, each with two versions of river flow - with and without reservoirs implemented. Additionally, for each climate scenario, 9 reservoir management scenarios are considered for the 4 reservoirs on the catchment, with results for the subset of 17 flow gauging stations downstream of the reservoirs. More information can be found in the S4W_ERFA_Seine_ReadMe.txt file.

This study is part of the STARS4Water project, aiming to improve the understanding of climate change impacts on water resources availability and the vulnerabilities for ecosystems, society and the economy at river basin scale: https://stars4water.eu/
