Description
This dataset details the ecological risk in East Anglia, UK, under future climate projections of river flow as part of STARS4Water report D4.2. The Ecological Risk due to Flow Alteration (ERFA) tool was applied across 14 catchments under twelve future climate scenarios for two future periods.
The tool compares the departure of future river flow indicators from a baseline period. In this instance, daily mean simulated river flow from E-FLAG (Hannaford et al., 2022) was used, with future flow projections driven by twelve UKCP18 ensemble members (RCM01, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15). The period 1989-2018 was taken for the baseline, 2040-2059 for the near future and 2060-2079 for the far future.
This study is part of the STARS4Water project, aiming to improve the understanding of climate change impacts on water resources availability and the vulnerabilities for ecosystems, society and the economy at river basin scale: https://stars4water.eu/
