Description
This toolbox has been developed to support the implementation of the HELCOM Regional
Restoration Action Plan (Deliverable 6.23), as well as other international restoration
initiatives.
It is structured into three main parts:
• Part I outlines general principles and provides a workflow for implementing
restoration actions.
• Part II presents practical information on specific restoration measures undertaken in
different countries across the Baltic Sea region.
• Part III serves as a repository of existing guidance on restoration measures.
The toolbox focuses primarily on the restoration of benthic habitats and biotopes, with
particular emphasis on active restoration efforts.
