Description

This deliverable presents a manual for the Spatial Pressure and Impact Assessment (SPIA) tool (Deliverable 3.3) developed in PROTECT BALTIC. The tool provides a framework for identifying, mapping and assessing human pressures in the Baltic Sea. The information generated can be used to support biodiversity assessments, identify areas where management action may be required, and evaluate the effectiveness of measures implemented within and beyond Marine Protected Areas (MPAs).
