Description

This deliverable presents SOM-CAF (Soil Organic Matter Co-benefits Accounting Framework), a modular valuation system designed to translate soil organic carbon changes ( SOC) into economically meaningful co-benefits. By converting three biophysical pathways nutrient cycling, soil water regulation, and soil structure/field operability into harmonised indicators (euro/ha/year), it provides a transparent, MRVcompatible accounting tool that complements EU Green Deal and Soil Mission carbon farming initiatives by explicitly valuing agronomic co-benefits beyond carbon sequestration alone.
