Description

The RESIST Project Team has been selected to take part in a one-week (June 1-June 6, 2026) seminar hosted by the Fondation des Treilles in France. Organised by Marianne Blidon, the event titled Défis démocratiques face aux politiques "anti-genre" en Europe : analyse et perspectives critique (Democratic Challenges in the Face of “Anti-Gender” Policies in Europe: Analysis and Critical Perspectives) brought together RESIST co-leads, early-career researchers, and activist collaborators to exchange ideas, strategies, and work on related writing projects

Democratic Challenges in the Face of “Anti-Gender” Policies in Europe: Analysis and Critical Perspectives

The closing seminar of the European RESIST project, led by Marianne Blidon, aims to analyze anti-feminist and anti-LGBT+ discourses, mobilizations, and policies in Europe, as well as their effects on the people affected and on democratic values. Taking a transnational approach, RESIST has studied the diversity of these movements, their impacts, and the forms of resistance they provoke. The seminar aims to develop a new theoretical framework and prepare a collective publication on this topic.
