Description
Deliverable D2.9 builds on D2.7 and D2.8 and reports the current state of the HiDALGO2 Dashboard as an operational entry point to the project ecosystem. The Dashboard now provides improved layout options, compact and personalized views, onboarding support, catalogue editing, and direct links to workflow execution environments. It gives users a unified interface for accessing pilots, workflow orchestrators, data-management services, visualization tools, documentation, training resources and collaboration services.
The current release strengthens the connection between the Dashboard and the HiDALGO2 workflow infrastructure. Dashboard entries can open the relevant MathSO or QCG applications directly, while authenticated users can also see selected portal-related information, such as recent deployments, active jobs and HPC-system status. The deliverable describes the integration of the main pilots: Urban Air Pollution, Urban Building, Renewable Energy Sources, Wildfire and Material Transport in Water.
D2.9 also describes the current user and rights management approach. Authentication is handled through the HiDALGO2 IDM service based on Keycloak, while the Dashboard uses roles, groups and organization membership to control service visibility and management functions. Public, internal and controlled external access are distinguished, and onboarding remains partly manual because several services require additional permissions or credentials.
The second internal questionnaire confirms that the Dashboard has improved since the previous feedback round. Design, layout, functionality, usability and integration support were all evaluated positively, with no critical ratings. Remaining suggestions focus on practical refinements, including scrolling behavior, responsiveness, clearer service relationships, improved tags, better documentation and debugging support for workflow developers, and evaluation of selected additional services.
Overall, D2.9 shows that the Dashboard and Services are largely complete for internal operational use and mature enough for controlled external scenarios. The remaining roadmap focuses on stabilization and refinement rather than major redesign.
