Collated Policy briefs from the GES4SEAS Project
Authors/Creators
Description
This document presents a set of final Policy Briefs from the Horizon Europe project GES4SEAS which had a main objective to guide marine governance processes on minimizing human pressures and their impacts on coastal and marine biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, while maintaining the sustainable delivery of ecosystem services and eventually societal goods and benefits. GES4SEAS achieved this through developing an innovative toolbox, tested, validated and demonstrated, in the context of an adaptive sequence from an Ecosystem-based Approach (EBA) to Ecosystem-based Management (EBM) to be operationalised using Ecosystem-Based Technical Measures (so-called Programmes of Measures enacted by EU Member States) and using the best Ecosystem-Base Sciences (EBS).
