Mental Health Management & Leadership Training Materials: Fostering Healthy Research Environments

The PATTERN (Empowering Open and Responsible Research and Innovation) project addresses a critical need in the European Research Area, by equipping researchers at all stages of their careers with skills in Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) and Open Science (OS). Since January 2023, the project has been developing and piloting training modules in 8 thematic areas: Open Access, FAIR RDM, Citizen Science, Research Integrity, Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination, Science Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation of Results, and Research Management and Leadership.

This poster describes how training resources have been co-created by the SciLink Fiundation in the thematic area of Mental Health Management
& Leadership Training. 

The poster was first presented at the PATTERN final event: PATTERNs of Change: Building an Open and Responsible Future for European Research on 15th April 2026 in Brussels. 

The poster explains:

• How the project partners co-created and continually improved innovative training in Mental Health Management
  & Leadership Training
• The core Mental Health Management & Leadership Training training portfolio, incorporating Project Based Learning (PBL)
• How the training materials can be accessed, both as slide decks within Zenodo and as E-Learning modules on the Learning Planet Institute Projects Platform.
