Description
This study aims to (1) identify the barriers to increasing stakeholders’ diversity in the co-creating process on the local level for science-based climate action tools, particularly when different typologies of actors are involved in different phases of co-creation and science-practitioner interaction; (2) explore the reasons behind them; and (3) suggest strategies. A comparative qualitative analysis of the different approaches for the tools co-developed is conducted, involving different types of stakeholders, in order to identify common challenges and lessons learned for the improvement of future strategies for successful engagement. The different tools developed by an interdisciplinary research team in the LOCALISED project and dedicated co-creation as well as final outputs of the analysis, will be introduced in the chapter.
