Description

This scoping review examines ethical aspects in the development and implementation of gamified digital mental health interventions for young people. Based on 38 publications, it identifies key issues including research ethics, privacy, accessibility, autonomy, empowerment, cultural and social sensitivity, co-design, vulnerability, and broader social implications. The article argues that ethics should be integrated as an ongoing practice throughout all stages of designing and implementing serious game elements in youth mental health interventions.
