This conference paper examines how playful interactive markers can support co-located collaboration in marker-based mobile augmented reality games. Building on hands-on interaction with a marker-based AR game prototype, the study explores how experts envision the role of playful markers in scaffolding cooperative action, interaction, and shared engagement in collaborative mobile AR settings.
