Deliverable 11.10 of the UNTWIST project: Media releases, including dossier of press clippings

Deliverable D11.10 documents the media-oriented communication activities undertaken within the UNTWIST project, providing a structured overview of outputs that contribute to its visibility and societal positioning. It serves as an evidence-based record of communication outcomes and complements other Work Package 11 outputs by focusing specifically on media-facing actions within broader debates on democracy and gender equality.

The communication activities presented aim to support awareness of the project, ensure accurate representation of its objectives and findings, and position UNTWIST within discussions on democratic renewal and gender-inclusive values, while avoiding unnecessary exposure to potential risks.

The strategy underpinning these activities prioritises selectivity, quality, and contextual appropriateness over volume. Given the sensitive nature of the project’s thematic focus and the polarised environments in which it operates, the consortium has adopted a flexible, context-aware approach, allowing partners to determine their level of engagement with mass media according to national and institutional conditions. This has, in some cases, resulted in cautious or limited media engagement.

At the same time, communication efforts have remained active through targeted channels. The project has prioritised direct engagement with selected stakeholders—supported by a comprehensive database and the regular dissemination of policy briefings and newsletters—complemented by a social media presence to enable controlled outreach within relevant expert and policy communities.

Overall, Deliverable D11.10 shows that UNTWIST has implemented a coherent and proportionate communication strategy, ensuring continued dissemination and engagement while adapting to contextual constraints and safeguarding the project’s integrity.
