The Policy Brief presents policy recommendations for stakeholders of MPA Europe on how to use our analysis and results of standardised environmental and species distribution data, mapped distribution of organic carbon content in the seabed, and representative biodiversity areas, which show an optimal network for Marine Protected Areas (MPA) in science-based marine and maritime spatial planning (MSP) in Europe.
