The TNG and its instruments after 20 years of operations

TNG is operative since 20 years. We will briefly review the
changes occurred in these 20 years and how the current focal plane
instrumentation has been updated to face the open problems of
modern astrophysics. A look to the near future is also indispensable:
inputs from the community are welcome.
